The Galaxy Kirin embedded operating system inherits the advantages of the Galaxy Kirin general operating system in terms of security and trustworthiness, and rich ecology. It utilizes self-developed real-time virtualization technology KVisor to achieve multi-domain isolation and establish communication channels between domains, supporting the integration of the “security domain” characterized by information security and rich ecology, and the “real-time domain” characterized by functional safety and strong real-time capabilities. In the security domain, execution control logic based on PKS trusted base and PID algorithm (Proportional Integral Derivative, a commonly used stability control algorithm) based on machine learning framework are designed. The security domain mainly supports the embedded Linux runtime environment, which shares the same architecture as the Galaxy Kirin general operating system, while supporting Linux architecture applications. The real-time domain can accommodate various architecture RTOS real-time operating systems, as well as embedded Bare-Metal applications that do not require operating system support, meeting the full-stack needs from KB-level hard real-time embedded applications to GB-level rich ecological embedded applications.

Currently, the Galaxy Kirin embedded operating system has successfully run on the Hanwei E2000-D-EVB development board. The development board is equipped with the Tenglong E2000Q CPU. The Galaxy Kirin embedded operating system combines the features of E2000, developing a complete demo system of underlying OS + upper-layer applications around commonly seen environmental real-time perception and real-time control scenarios in the industrial control field. It has implemented three independent functional domains on the quad-core E2000Q. Among them, the security domain uses two large cores, responsible for human-computer interaction and AI computation, and achieves intrinsic security based on the trusted base built into the E2000; the two real-time domains each occupy a small core, performing real-time perception of temperature and humidity. The collected data is transmitted to the security domain for PID algorithm calculation through the inter-domain communication mechanism, and the control instructions generated are sent back to the real-time domain. The control operations of the PLC lower machine are executed through serial ports and Modbus protocol based on MIO multiplexing, with the entire process response time controlled within microseconds, maximizing the flexible heterogeneous design of the E2000 and achieving a perfect combination of security, real-time performance, and AI computing power allocation based on multi-domain architecture.
