Exploring Embedded Systems: How Close They Are to Us

Exploring Embedded Systems: How Close They Are to Us

This Saturday (September 7), I will join Teacher Xintian (the head of the embedded course) to participate in the STM32 national tour seminar in Nanjing. First, let me introduce that STM32 is a series of 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) produced by STMicroelectronics, designed with an ARM Cortex-M core, known for its high performance, low power consumption, and wide applications.

So what is STMicroelectronics’ position in the semiconductor market? STMicroelectronics is one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world. ST has always been one of the top ten semiconductor companies globally. It is the world’s largest manufacturer of specialized analog chips and power conversion chips, the largest supplier of industrial semiconductors and set-top box chips, and ranks among the top in discrete devices, mobile camera modules, and automotive integrated circuits.

The STM32 series not only has the aforementioned advantages of high performance and low power consumption but is also applicable across various industries. By the end of 2023, a cooperation agreement was signed with Li Auto. STM32 is not only used in industrial applications but also deeply integrated into people’s daily lives. For instance, from children’s smartwatches to intelligent parking systems. Such a vast market has further driven the development and adoption of embedded systems.

In this AI system, one can use self-developed large models or market-standard large models to continuously expand their business and applications in the learning mode.
Through the observation of STM32’s business development and application areas, we can find that: in the future, the Internet of Things will undoubtedly become a development blue ocean full of opportunities, and various embedded tools or devices will enter every aspect of our lives. During this seminar, I felt the embedded systems around me and realized that embedded systems are indeed so close to us.
