As the responsible unit of the OpenHarmony Ecological Committee’s chip development board ecological group and the leader of three SIG groups, Jiangsu Runkaihong Digital Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Runkaihong”) has proactively laid out and completed the integration of the flagship chip RK3588-based Runkaihong HH-SCDAYU210 standard system development platform into the OpenHarmony mainline, fully matching the release rhythm of the OpenHarmony 3.2 Release version, and continuously practicing the ecological mission of empowering OpenHarmony to land in various industries by solidifying the hardware foundation.

1. Introduction

According to the version iteration cycle and plan of the OpenHarmony system, the OpenHarmony 3.2 Release version was released on March 30. As a brand new system version, OpenHarmony 3.2 Release unlocks richer functions and features, further enhancing system capabilities, calling for more powerful flagship chips as hardware carriers. To address this demand, Runkaihong has proactively laid out and completed the adaptation work for the RK3588 flagship SoC chip from Rockchip for OpenHarmony, launching the Runkaihong HH-SCDAYU210 development platform based on this chip.
Recently, the relevant adaptation code of the Runkaihong HH-SCDAYU210 development platform has been successfully integrated into the OpenHarmony mainline, becoming a new mainline version development platform and version function testing platform, providing strong support for the release of 3.2 Release. Currently, this development platform supports the new features of 3.2 Release, providing timely assistance for developer experience and practical testing after the release of this version. The successful integration of HH-SCDAYU210 into the OpenHarmony mainline has achieved a new breakthrough of “integrating flagship chip rich device platform into the mainline”, laying a foundation for developers of commercial rich devices and related industry applications based on the new capabilities of OpenHarmony 3.2 Release.
After integrating into the OpenHarmony mainline, as one of the officially supported standard system platforms, HH-SCDAYU210 will receive long-term and stable support, continuously polished from various aspects, including: on the community side, attracting partners and developers to jointly implement rich application examples based on HH-SCDAYU210, such as distributed music players, distributed email, distributed handwriting boards, distributed games, etc.; on the technical side, continuously optimizing the underlying and system version adaptation through monthly self-testing of the development board to enhance user experience. In fact, the relevant features of the OpenHarmony 3.1 Release version have also been better released under the multi-core capability, GPU capability, and multimedia capability upgrades supported by the RK3588 flagship chip platform.

2. Unboxing Experience

The appearance of the Runkaihong HH-SCDAYU210 development kit is exquisite, with rich interfaces. After powering on, the system desktop appears neat, and various system applications are complete. In addition to common system applications, HH-SCDAYU210 also supports various third-party applications, such as distributed applications, multimedia applications, game applications, etc.
