The mini PC is gradually replacing traditional desktops in homes due to its compactness and portability, making it a product that everyone loves. If you are not a gaming enthusiast, then a mini PC is your best choice. Although you need to pair it with a monitor, you can choose the size according to your preference, offering greater freedom.
Today, we have the ONDA M3-H110 mini PC in the PConline review room. Previously, we introduced the M3-B81, and this time the ONDA M3-H110 has made some changes based on that. The ONDA M3-H110 is a product that requires assembly, catering to consumers who love to tinker. However, this design gives consumers greater freedom in choosing configurations.
■ ONDA M3-H110: Compact, Exquisite, Luxurious
The packaging of the ONDA M3-H110 is simple and fresh, from which we can guess the color of the product. Upon opening the box, we first see the top of the ONDA M3-H110, which is very eye-catching in a luxurious gold color, one of the mainstream choices today. After all, gold is one of the representatives of precious metals, making the product seem more valuable. Of course, the usability of the product is what matters most.
The ONDA M3-H110 has a square body with rounded corners, preventing any sharp edges. The use of diamond-cutting technology makes the top edge shine brightly. The iconic ONDA logo is located on the upper left side of the front panel, in a minimalist style. We do not see a power button on the front panel or the top, but when we turn the body around, we find it located at the rear right side, ensuring that the overall aesthetics are not affected.
The I/O panel of the ONDA M3-H110 is quite rich, with interfaces from left to right: microphone, headphone, USB 3.0×4, RJ-45, USB 2.0×2, HDMI×3, and power interface. The two round holes will be introduced later.
The bottom of the ONDA M3-H110 features a large area of hollow design, which is very unique and should perform well in terms of heat dissipation. Also, there are two round holes on top; what are they for?
ONDA M3-H110: DIY Assembly
As mentioned earlier, the ONDA M3-H110 requires DIY assembly. After opening the body, we see that there is only a motherboard inside, with no other components. The box should contain other accessories that we need to assemble. Removing the foam pad on top, we see that the lower layer contains some accessories: power adapter, power cord, cooler, L-shaped aluminum bracket, T-shaped head bracket, etc. … It seems like something is missing? No CPU, memory, and hard drive! What are you doing!?
In a pinch, I had to borrow a few parts from a colleague; an M.2 SSD, a sixth-generation Core desktop processor, and DDR4 memory were finally gathered. It is worth noting that the ONDA M3-H110 is the first mini PC that supports desktop-level processors, making it superior in performance compared to low-voltage processors, though the price is also different.
After installing the three main components, we finally put the cooler in place, tidy up the cables, and the job is done. As for whether it can be powered on, we will test that shortly.
ONDA M3-H110: Two Placement Methods
Generally, mini PCs are placed directly on the desktop, while the ONDA M3-H110 comes with two brackets, allowing for two placement methods, and the four round holes mentioned earlier are now relevant.
If the previous placement method was horizontal, then this placement method is vertical, which can be achieved using only the L-shaped aluminum bracket while still ensuring adequate heat dissipation. Users can choose between vertical or horizontal placement depending on their environment, providing great flexibility.
ONDA M3-H110: Weight and Heat Dissipation Performance
The complete ONDA M3-H110 mini PC has been placed on an electronic scale, weighing 1.158kg without the bracket, and a total weight of 1.577kg with the adapter. Even with different processors, memory, and SSDs, the weight difference will not be significant.
● Heat Dissipation Testing
For this heat dissipation test, we did not choose traditional stress testing but simulated real working conditions. After thirty minutes of use, including Office, Photoshop, and web browsing, we obtained a temperature map. The temperature on the top of the ONDA M3-H110 mini PC ranged from 35 to 40℃, while the bottom, closer to the circuit board, was slightly higher at around 40℃, with 48.8℃ touching the fan module.
I am not sure if it was the heavy load of the i7-6700 processor I chose or another reason, but during use, the fan of the ONDA M3-H110 mini PC occasionally spun at high speed. While this can be understood as beneficial for heat dissipation, it also produced slightly more noise.

■ PConline Review Room Summary
As a mini PC product, the ONDA M3-H110 performs well in terms of appearance, size, heat dissipation, and hardware. Being the first mini PC that can accommodate desktop-level processors, its performance can be on par with that of desktops. For performance enthusiasts, the ONDA M3-H110 offers an excellent experience. Its unique feature is that users can control the hardware configuration themselves, matching the three main components as needed while also installing them, which may seem cumbersome but is actually a great opportunity for those who enjoy hands-on activities.
