After posting an article about choosing RISC-V yesterday, I received a lot of suggestions on WeChat. To summarize simply: “It is suggested to also open up custom options for regular x86 computers, as developing for ARM requires investment in a development team, but the x86 version of the system is ready-made, making customization convenient for everyone, and it won’t affect the release of RISC-V, especially since there is a significant demand for x86 among the enthusiasts.”
This seems reasonable, so we will add another line, just a simple customization.
