This summer vacation was veryrocking!
I first went to Lhasa to volunteer at a youth hostel, and feeling a bit bored, I thought of hitchhiking to Naqu to see thehighland grasslands.How cool is that, just waving my hand on the road and asking for a ride. At night, I would find a small Tibetan village to stay overnight. Everything was uncertain; I didn’t know where I would go tomorrow or if I would have a place to sleep tomorrow night.I like this uncertainty.
After walking on the grassland for four days, I ran to Chengdu with friends to hike theGongga Grand Circuit, climbing a snowy mountain.Namafeng,5588m, was the first snowy mountain of my life. I reached the summit, and at that moment, I felt nothing because I just walked up that snowy slope and didn’t even realize it was the top until I got there.
The day of descent was the most painful; starting at 2:40 AM, I walked until 8 PM, reaching Zimei Village. I was so tired on the way that I couldn’t keep up with my teammates and fell far behind. I missed Aji a lot; without Aji, I felt very sad, and by the end, I almost cried by myself.
PS: I remind everyone that when traveling, you must bring enough gear, always stay in touch with family, pay attention to safety, and protect yourself~

In the early part of the summer vacation, I traveled to seven cities: Wuhan – Xianning – Yueyang – Shanghai – Hangzhou – Xi’an – Xianning – Chongyang, eating a lot of delicious food I had been longing for, and meeting a friend I hadn’t seen in two years.Traveling thousands of miles has made my heart much clearer. I attended several interviews and have a better understanding of my own abilities. I visited my teachers at school and spent time in the countryside accompanying my great-grandmother.
The happy thing is that the competition I worked hard for four months reached the finals, and I will continue to prepare with all my might!The regret is that due to the pandemic, the competition was changed to online, and I couldn’t go to Beijing (no public-funded travel 
).
Finally, I hope school starts soon; I have already said the words looking forward to school so many times

3@Zhu Yilong’s wife:On summer nights, I often accompany my mother for walks by the river. The parks and squares are crowded, and the street economy is thriving, with elderly people dancing vigorously in the squares—except for masks, which remind people of the sudden catastrophe at the beginning of the year, everything in life is back on track.
Today’s peace and order are like sunshine, air, and water, often overlooked due to habit, yet they are essential for life. Under the international changes of 2020, they have been re-examined, reminding us that everything we have gained on Chinese soil in pursuit of happiness is not taken for granted. People were caught off guard by the virus, but fortunately, we are safe and sound under the protection of our country.
In the later stages of the pandemic, life returned to normal. Among the crowd, some gained, some lost, some said goodbye, and some reunited, but they all continued to be grateful for life in these ordinary days, loving life.
I hope you also live well in these ordinary yet precious days, love well, be satisfied without losing pursuit, and proceed cautiously without losing the brave original intention.

Before entering university, I and a group of friends who hadn’t had enough fun agreed to travel to Tibet during the first summer vacation of college, but plans changed, and I ended up going with classmates to get a driver’s license. Before learning to drive, as someone who gets car sick after a few minutes in a taxi, I was very afraid of wasting the registration fee of several thousand yuan, and I never expected I could pass all the tests from subject one to subject four in one go. To make up for the more than a month of summer vacation spent at the driving school, on the first day I got my license, I invited my middle school classmates to barbecue by the river, finally catching the tail end of summer vacation to experience the joys of summer. After the barbecue, we vowed that next summer vacation we must go to Tibet.

At the end of summer vacation, I started watching the variety show “Tomorrow’s Son”. Watching those talented individuals on stage, I often fall silent about my own pale and ordinary youth.
I don’t know why, but at this age, I particularly love the “youthful feeling,” reckless and silly, passionate and dramatic. Those intense collisions and dramatic plots seem to have never appeared in my youth; my youth was built on countless exercise books and over a thousand days and nights, bland yet real.
I used to think that “ordinary” was mediocrity, but later I realized it was acceptance. We must accept ourselves, acknowledging that we are not as impressive as we imagined, nor are we too different from others.

The summer vacation is about to pass in the blink of an eye; it is like a blank book that needs us to define how to write it. For me, this summer vacation is significant.
First, I completed my first volunteer service—a six-day children’s companionship service. In this experience, I felt the joy in exhaustion and began to understand the relationship between being a volunteer and responsibility, giving me a basic understanding of volunteer service. I will continue to engage in volunteer work in future summer vacations.
Secondly, through the summer vacation, I supplemented my learning for the online courses of the second semester of my freshman year, to better connect with the studies of my sophomore year. After the summer vacation, a new semester will begin, and after a summer of recharge, I have the motivation to sprint for the new semester; the future is promising!

If I had to describe my summer with two numbers, I think they should be 0 and 1.
After finishing C language in the next semester, I spent a month learning Python, and fortunately, I didn’t give up from the beginning; I learned a bit of knowledge. After finishing the last project, I immediately had the urge to rush out of the house to travel, and indeed, I did just that, the next day I invited classmates to Mount Lushan.
Maybe this is university; everyone has maximum freedom. When you have something you want to do, don’t wait.

I haven’t recovered from the excitement of successfully changing my major when I received the news of unified remedial classes, and I had to pause my part-time job, driving practice, and Japanese studies arranged for the summer vacation.
From the end of June to the end of August, for two months, from 8 AM to 9 PM every day, I studied seven major courses that I missed in my freshman year with more than fifty classmates who changed majors, along with hardworking teachers and teaching assistants. Every day was filled with a packed schedule, and it was also filled with knowledge.
This two-month high-intensity environment was more like a test for us, making us more clearly understand the pressures we need to face, the dilemmas we need to solve, and the gaps we need to fill, completing the transition of thinking, and then integrating into the new department environment with more confidence and smoothly.
This knowledge-filled, most fulfilling summer vacation is truly unforgettable.

The summer after the college entrance examination has its unique charm. Occasionally, I indulge in reading, and I can’t help but exclaim, “What joy this is.” In this special summer vacation, “the sun rises and the moon wanes, and learning is illuminated by light,” utilitarian reading has made me face the unknown university studies more calmly, while non-utilitarian reading has shaped my eloquence, temperament, and boundless mind.
I also tried some part-time and volunteer work. In the process of tutoring students, knowledge transformed from one to two, and the joy was passed from one person to another; that genuine joy was an unprecedented experience. In the process of promoting epidemic prevention, I brushed past all kinds of people, perhaps never to meet again, strangers, but I care about their health; our brief encounter makes me feel that as long as they are well, my efforts are worthwhile. These jobs may not be the most suitable for me, but they are rare opportunities in life.
Brushing off the dust of historical accumulation, peering through the distant fog, I glimpse a period of suffering years. The heroic spirit endures, and the heroic souls are immortal; this is what I cannot forget after watching “The Eight Hundred”. Two and a half hours, eight hundred heroes, a wilderness of time; I don’t know how to express my respect, but it makes me want to do something to contribute to my country.
As the sage said, the wise hold high standards, and the bright candle shines with selfless light. If you aspire to study medicine, health is at stake, and life is entrusted; you must act against the current and be fearless; if you pursue an official career, you must be diligent enough to lead the masses, honest enough to win people’s trust, and wise enough to eliminate the false; if you enter the business world, you must prioritize righteousness over profit, seek righteousness and avoid wealth, choose people based on their potential, and employ with sincerity; if you are just a scholar, you should advocate justice, promote humanity, and establish good conscience; scholars should have character, and peace will prevail for generations.
