

To enhance the scientific exploration and innovative thinking abilities of teenagers in the community, and to increase their understanding and interest in artificial intelligence technology, on the afternoon of August 23, the Weilan Linyu Community organized a lively and engaging artificial intelligence science popularization experience class. The course, with its rich content and vivid format, provided children with a unique technological enlightenment, receiving widespread praise from participating families.




The theme of the event was “AI Adventure: Making Friends with Robots,” with activities designed to balance knowledge and fun. In the robot cognition segment, the teacher used animations and simple explanations to help children easily understand the basic principles of artificial intelligence. During the interactive experience segment, the robotic dog and robot became the stars of the show. Children took turns in groups to experience, each able to control the remote. When the children input the command “shake hands,” the robotic dog accurately raised its paw; when they input “fist,” it performed the action precisely, its adorable appearance eliciting bursts of laughter from the children.

During the process, the teacher explained the working principle of the robotic dog: “It can receive commands because the program inside connects with the remote control device; it can avoid obstacles thanks to the ‘sensor radar’ on it.” The children experienced the magic of AI technology that “understands commands and can act on them” through hands-on practice. The final 3D printing experience further materialized abstract technology, from observing the printer’s operation to hands-on practice, ultimately receiving a 3D-printed keychain with their names, fully stimulating the children’s curiosity and eliciting exclamations.



This science popularization class not only broadened the technological horizons of teenagers but also sowed the seeds of exploration and innovation. The Weilan Linyu Community will take this opportunity to further enrich science popularization resources and deepen the work of science education for teenagers, bringing technological enlightenment to more families.
