ACROVIEW Programmer Supports OnBright's Mixed-Signal Chip OB6625VK

The chip programming leader ACROVIEW Technology recently announced the latest iteration of its programming software, along with a series of newly compatible chip models. In this update, the mixed-signal chip OB6625VK from OnBright Integrated Circuits has been supported by ACROVIEW’s offline programmer tool AP8000.

OB6625VK is a highly integrated, high-performance, low-cost three-phase brushless DC motor (BLDC) or permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control chip that requires only a few peripheral components to build a complete field-oriented control (FOC) circuit. It integrates a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 MCU, a 3P+3N full-bridge driver, and a high-precision 5V voltage regulator.

OB6625VK provides complete chip protection and external motor drive current protection, including under-voltage protection for the chip’s operating power supply, over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, and bridge arm shoot-through protection; the driver circuit has built-in dead time; and motor drive over-current protection, etc. The built-in MCU can operate at a main frequency of up to 72MHz, providing 32kB FLASH and 4kB SRAM, and integrates a Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer (CORDIC) and a Multiply-Divide Unit (MDU), optimized for motor control with pulse width modulation (PWM), operational amplifiers, analog comparators, analog-to-digital converters (ADC), and inter-module linkage, making it easy to develop high-performance algorithms.

OB6625VK is used in low-cost, high-performance, high-efficiency BLDC/PMSM drive circuits, allowing for easy construction of current loop and speed loop control circuits with minimal peripheral components. It combines flexibility with low-cost requirements.

OB6625VK is available in TSSOP20/TSSOP24/QFN28 packages, facilitating PCB miniaturization design.

Applications

5V to 28V DC input, universal BLDC/PMSM controllers, including fans, pumps, massage devices, and motion mechanisms.

Application Block Diagram

The AP8000 universal programmer developed by ACROVIEW Technology supports both online/offline versions with one-to-one and one-to-eight configurations, as well as dedicated programming solutions for eMMC and UFS, fully covering the bare chip (offline) and on-board programming needs for all chip models in the OnBright series. The AP8000 consists of three core components: the host, the baseboard, and the adapter. As a universal programming platform in the industry, the AP8000 not only supports programming for all types of programmable chips on the market but also serves as the core programming platform for ACROVIEW’s mass production secure programming device IPS5800S, responsible for efficiently executing large-scale programming tasks.

The host supports both USB and NET connections, enabling networking of multiple programmers to synchronize control of multiple programmers for programming operations. The built-in safety protection circuit can instantly detect abnormal situations such as reversed chip placement or short circuits and immediately cut off power, ensuring the safety of both the chip and the programmer. The host integrates a high-speed FPGA, significantly improving data transmission and processing speed. The back of the host is equipped with an SD card slot, allowing users to save project files generated by PC software to the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the slot. By using the button on the programmer, users can select, load, and execute programming instructions without relying on a PC, which not only reduces the cost of PC hardware configuration but also facilitates the rapid construction of the working environment.

The AP8000 enhances the host’s expansion capabilities through the combination design of the baseboard and adapter, currently supporting products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including TI, RENESAS, Infineon, ST, NXP, etc. The supported device types include NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and it is compatible with various file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, POF, etc.
