WALL·E
1
Synopsis
In the future, Earth becomes uninhabitable for humans due to mountains of garbage, leading humanity to leave on a spaceship, leaving behind the waste-collecting robot WALL·E. Over time, only one WALL·E remains operational, gradually developing emotions and self-awareness. Seven hundred years later, a space plant-detecting robot EVE arrives on Earth to search for plants, and WALL·E falls in love with her. Among the items WALL·E has collected is a green plant, which EVE detects and subsequently goes into hibernation. Humans send a spaceship to retrieve EVE, and WALL·E follows her to the human habitat aboard the “Axiom” spaceship. On the ship, humans become overly reliant on robots, becoming obese and losing their autonomy. The green plant within EVE goes missing but is later found, yet the steering robot Auto insists on the directive that “humans cannot return to Earth,” leading to a conflict with the captain, who is subsequently imprisoned along with WALL·E and EVE in the garbage disposal area. Ultimately, the captain defeats Auto, and humanity decides to return to Earth. EVE also repairs WALL·E, and together they return to the desolate Earth, where humanity begins to learn farming, gradually restoring life to the planet.
