Fine Workmanship and Excellent Protection Performance: This product consists of two parts, the micro SD XC memory card and the SD XC adapter. The two parts are designed separately to meet users’ needs for different devices such as phones and computers. Both the micro SD XC memory card and the SD XC adapter feature a matte finish, providing a good tactile experience and fine workmanship; they come in a rich color combination of white, blue, black, and gold. The surface of both parts displays product information such as speed, capacity, product logo, and series.
In addition to fine workmanship, it also has quite good protection performance. According to the official introduction, it possesses four major protective features: waterproof, anti-magnetic, dustproof, and shockproof. For SD cards, the waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof functions are particularly important; therefore, I conducted simple tests on these three protective features.
First, I soaked it in a cup of water for 1 minute, then threw it in the dust, and finally performed a free fall test from a height of 1.2m. After these three tests, I cleaned it and inserted it into the computer for detection. The results showed that it could still be used normally, indicating that its protective performance is not just for show.
Product Performance: Ultra-Fast Read Speed: For high-end storage cards, the reading performance is the core concern for users. I used the ATTODisk Benchmark software for testing this time. ATTO Disk Benchmark is a disk/network benchmark performance testing tool produced by ATTO, and the data results are presented in an intuitive bar chart format after the test is completed, clearly showing the impact of different file size ratios on disk speed. This is currently a common storage card testing software.
Before testing, we first checked the storage memory situation of the card. I used HD Tune software to view the card’s information; the image shows that the card uses the exFAT system, with a total capacity of 63.4GB, an effective capacity of 59GB, and a sector size of 512 bytes, supporting various features. Overall, this card is considered a high-end storage card.
Before testing, I formatted the card to maximize the accuracy of the results. From the test result chart, it can be seen that the card has a good read and write speed; although the write speed is only 20MB/s, the read speed reached an astonishing 86MB/s, exceeding its official introduction of 75.10 MB/s. This shows that the card’s read and write performance is quite good. It seems that Damo Technology’s product description is relatively modest and objective.
Conclusion: A High-End High-Capacity High-Speed Storage Card From the above introduction and testing, it can be seen that the performance of Damo Technology’s 64GB TOPMORE micro SDXC card is quite good. Although the write speed is slightly lacking, the reading speed of 86MB/s is enough to stand out. The performance of this product is sufficient to meet the requirements of DSLR cameras and HD camcorders. Such a high-end, high-capacity, high-speed storage card is something you would regret not experiencing personally.
