Recently, there has been a lot of news about the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865, but the Snapdragon 875 is also on its way! Recently, a netizen revealed the procurement price of the Snapdragon 875.
According to a report from a South Korean netizen on clien, the price of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chip in the order signed by Xiaomi is around $250 (approximately 1770 RMB), while the current delivery price of the Snapdragon 865 is mostly between $150 and $160 (approximately 1060 RMB), which means that the Snapdragon 875 is more than $100 more expensive than the 865.
According to the leak, the $250 price does not only refer to the AP price but is an integrated package price that includes the X60 modem. Due to the high procurement price, Xiaomi’s executives have been discussing the pricing of their next-generation flagship model.
In terms of specifications, according to earlier reports from foreign media 91mobiles, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset, codenamed SM8350, will use a 5nm process technology, featuring a Kryo 685 CPU, Adreno 660 GPU, etc., with further performance improvements.
As for the most concerning issue of whether it integrates 5G, the leak states that the Snapdragon 875 will be paired with the Snapdragon X60 5G modem, supporting 3G/4G/5G modem – millimeter wave and sub-6 GHz bands, although it does not directly state whether it is internally integrated, it is expected to be integrated.
Regarding the release date and pricing of the terminal, it is generally estimated that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 should be released in December this year, with flagship devices gradually launching in the first quarter of 2021, but due to factors such as the pandemic, it is uncertain whether there will be delays. If the procurement price of 875 is indeed as leaked, around 2000 RMB, it is expected that the overall price of new flagships in 2021 will also rise significantly.
