It has been a while since we last discussed mini PCs. This time, I bought a few to test and share with you all a “mini computer” under 3000 yuan.
Today’s protagonist is the Mechanical Revolution Wujie S. The only reason I chose it is that it’s called Mechanical Revolution and I believe its cost performance must be high.
So, does this computer achieve a super high cost-performance ratio? Let’s analyze it briefly:

Its configurations are as follows:R7 7840H Processor16GB DDR5 5600MHz Memory1TB Solid State DriveLength 130.0mmWidth 125.0mmHeight 50.9mmWeight 637.9gAdapter weight 269gReference price 2999 yuanIts pros and cons are as follows:Pros!1. Good performance release2. Dual memory and hard disk slots, decent expandability3. Supports VESA mountCons!1. Relatively large size2. Difficult to disassemble, needs to remove foot pads3. Lacks performance control center, adjustments need to be made in BIOS【Upgrade Suggestions】This mini PC is difficult to disassemble. After removing the screws under the D-shell foot pads, disconnect the fan and network card cables connected to the motherboard to access the memory and M.2 slots.A single 16GB DDR5 5600MHz memory can meet most needs, and if you have greater demands, you can add more memory yourself. The test machine has a 1TB solid-state drive, model Yangtze Memory PC300, supporting PCIe4.0×4 and NVMe. The machine also has a 2280 size M.2 slot, which can be replaced or expanded if needed.【Purchase Suggestions】1. If you want a powerful mini PC2. If you have certain needs for internal and external expansion3. If you do not have mobile office needsThe Mechanical Revolution Wujie S is a product focused on cost performance, equipped with memory and solid state within 3000 yuan, and can be upgraded according to your needs. In terms of interfaces, the front of the machine has two USB4 (both support DP output and PD power supply) and a 3.5mm audio interface; The back of the machine has a power interface, two HDMI2.0, a 2.5G RJ45 port, and four USB-A 10Gbps ports. In terms of noise, its full load noise level is 46.7dB. (Environmental noise is 39.8dB)It’s worth mentioning that the key hardware of this mini PC is not cut down; even the network card is full-fledged WiFi6 standard, which is hard to find in laptops priced at 3000 yuan.So if you want a relatively compact yet powerful mini PC, then you might consider this Mechanical Revolution Wujie S.However, if you have mobile office needs and do not want to connect to a large external monitor, this type of product is not suitable for you.【Cooling Analysis】The above image is a real shot of disassembling the Mechanical Revolution Wujie S, using a centrifugal fan + heat pipe combined with fins solution, with liquid metal as the core thermal conductive medium.Room temperature 25℃Reflectivity 1.0BIOS version: V1.07For the standard voltage processor, we use Stress FPU for stress testing. In BIOS, performance mode is enabled, and under full load, the CPU temperature reaches a maximum of 82.1℃, stabilizing at 82.0℃, with power consumption at 65W and a frequency of 4.3GHz.

The surface temperature is as shown in the above image, with an overall temperature of around 31.3℃, the center point at 31.5℃, and the highest point on the front being at the middle USB4 port at 36.5℃, while the rear exhaust temperature is relatively high at 54.1℃.Overall, the Mechanical Revolution Wujie S has good heat dissipation performance, aggressive performance release, and temperature control.
【Conclusion from Pig King】I wonder how many people still remember the “Mingfan UM790 Pro” mini PC we tested a few months ago? After testing the Mechanical Revolution, we found that this mini PC is just a “public model”, as the motherboard and interface design of Wujie S and UM790 Pro are almost identical, and the size parameters are also very close. So here I reply to a question that some readers have been asking me for a long time: “Why don’t we talk more about the mini PC category?”Because this category is not valued by manufacturers, most products are “public models”, lacking unique designs, and the industry vitality is far less than that of laptops; discussing them too much can feel quite boring. However, from another perspective, I also understand why major manufacturers do not put effort into mini PCs, as these products are priced too low, and the profit margin is very small. If they spend time and money researching new molds, it’s better to focus on gaming laptops. In my opinion, the future development direction of mini PCs will become a competition among small manufacturers, while major brands may only release 1-2 new products each year, definitely not more than that.Of course, the above statement does not mean we are no longer paying attention to this category. This time I bought more than one mini PC, and I will continue to bring reviews to everyone, so let’s continue exploring them together!
