Recently, market research firm CINNO Research released data on the shipment volumes of smartphone SoCs in China for May 2021.
The data shows that the top 5 smartphone SoC shipment rankings in China for May are: 1) MediaTek 2) Qualcomm Snapdragon 3) Apple 4) HiSilicon 5) Unisoc. It can be seen that Qualcomm, Apple, and HiSilicon all experienced negative growth, while MediaTek and Unisoc saw positive growth, with Unisoc’s growth exceeding 6000%, making it a true dark horse.As a supplement, the terminal manufacturers collaborating with Unisoc include various smart home products, and in the smartphone sector, brands like Hisense, ZTE, Honor, and Nokia are all equipped with their chips. As for their previously announced claim of being the world’s first 6nm 5G SoC, it has not yet entered mass production, but it may be expected to be available by July.
