Software Overview
Keil is an industry-leading independent supplier of software development tools for microcontrollers (MCUs). The company operates through two private companies, Keil Elektronik GmbH in Munich, Germany, and Keil Software Inc. in Texas, USA. Keil manufactures and sells a wide range of development tools, including ANSI C compilers, macro assemblers, debuggers, linkers, library managers, firmware, and real-time operating system kernels. Over 100,000 microcontroller developers use this industry-recognized solution. Its Keil C51 compiler has become the de facto industry standard since its introduction in 1988, supporting over 500 variants of the 8051. Keil was acquired by ARM in 2005.
Installation Steps:
1. Select the software compressed file, right-click and choose to extract to Keil 5.
2. Double-click to open the MDK 511 folder in the extracted folder.
3. Double-click to open mdk511.
4. Click Next.
5. Check I accept, then click Next.
6. Click Browse next to Core and Pack to change the installation path. It is recommended to install it on a disk other than C drive. You can create a keil5 folder on D drive or another drive, then click Next.
7. Fill in the above installation information arbitrarily, then click Next.
8. Installation in progress (wait for about 1 minute).
9. Click Finish.
10. Double-click the Keil uVision5 on the desktop.
11. Click on the menu bar File, then click on License.
12. Find keygen in the extracted folder, right-click and run as administrator.
13. Copy the content from CID, paste it into 2 CID, then select the ARM option in the Target option box, click Generate, then copy the content from 5, paste it into 6 New license, and click Add LIC.
14. Click Close.
15. Installation completed.
