Recently, I got a monitor that can be operated by touch— the ViewSonic TD2230 21.5-Inch Ten-Point Capacitive Touch Monitor. Overall, the experience has been good, and today I would like to share my actual usage experience with everyone.
The ViewSonic TD2230 monitor (hereinafter referred to as the TD2230 monitor) comes in environmentally friendly cardboard packaging, and the box is slightly smaller than a typical monitor, making it more convenient for transportation. The front and sides of the box are printed with the monitor’s model, specifications, and main features, providing us with a preliminary understanding of this monitor.
Upon opening the package, we can see that the entire monitor is placed in custom foam, with thick foam surrounding the monitor to provide excellent shock protection. The monitor’s surface is also protected by a layer of transparent plastic, effectively preventing dust and water.
In addition to the monitor, power cable, and power adapter, the included cables are also quite complete, including an HDMI cable, an audio cable, and a USB 3.0 upstream cable, which can basically meet our usage needs.
The TD2230 monitor features a 21.5-inch ten-point capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1920*1080. The entire screen adopts a mainstream ultra-narrow bezel design, providing excellent visual effects.
On the front, the lower right side has five touch buttons, which allow us to adjust various parameters of the monitor. In addition to the touch buttons, there is also a power indicator light.
The monitor uses SuperClear technology, which effectively eliminates image distortion and color changes. Based on actual image display tests, the screen has accurate color reproduction and offers a great visual experience.
The entire monitor has a viewing angle of 178 degrees both vertically and horizontally, ensuring that we can easily see the content on the screen from various angles.
The TD2230 monitor features an integrated ergonomic foldable stand design, so we do not need to assemble it ourselves, which is convenient. The entire back adopts a mainstream curved design, making it more aesthetically pleasing.
The angle of the monitor’s stand can be adjusted as needed, allowing the screen to tilt between 15° and 70°, making it convenient for us to use according to actual conditions.
The bottom of the monitor, the base of the stand, and the central upper position of the monitor are all designed with non-slip support pads, which not only provide good support but also better protect the device and reduce wear on the appearance. The central position on the back of the monitor has a wall mount hole for easy mounting on the wall.
The TD2230 monitor has its interfaces designed on the left and right sides of the back, including DP, VGA, HDMI, USB, and other interfaces, which are very complete and convenient for us to choose according to our needs.
We connect the monitor to the power supply and connect the HDMI cable and USB upstream cable to ensure that the monitor can display normally while also allowing touch operations. It is important to note that if we only connect the HDMI cable without connecting the USB upstream cable, we will not be able to perform touch operations.
After connecting the cables, we can cover the cable management panel on both sides of the monitor, ensuring a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Now we can perform touch operations. We can directly modify various PPTs through touch, which is very convenient and quick.
Switching to the Windows 10 tablet mode, we can directly swipe on the screen and type, allowing for a touch operation where we can tap wherever we want, completely eliminating the need for a mouse and keyboard.
When traveling or on business trips, the ViewSonic TD2230 monitor is more portable than a typical monitor. We can connect the TD2230 to a laptop via related devices to use it as a touch secondary screen, making work more efficient.
In addition to work, we can also use the TD2230 monitor for parent-child drawing, allowing children to draw directly on the 21.5-inch large screen while we can communicate in real-time.
Of course, children can also play various games on the TD2230 monitor. Playing touch games on a 21.5-inch large screen is a very enjoyable experience. At the same time, many people may worry about eye fatigue from prolonged use.
