For friends who love retro styles, I recently acquired a classic computer online for just 200 yuan due to its age. After a simple hands-on experience, it can be considered a gem among the “garbage collection” series of products.
In terms of appearance, the computer is very compact. From a visual perspective, due to its cube-like design, the length and width are approximately 200mm, and the thickness is about 40mm, making it a super mini computer.
The interfaces are relatively rich, basically meeting daily usage needs, including HDMI, Ethernet, and other common ports. The computer also has the Zotac logo, indicating it is likely an early mini Zotac computer, though the exact release date is unknown.
Upon opening the top cover to examine the internal structure, it is very compact, somewhat resembling a laptop’s structure, with only one cooling fan. The hard drive is merely a 160GB 5400 RPM mechanical drive, and the overall hardware feels quite old.
The processor is an Intel dual-core with four threads, with a clock speed of only 1.6GHz, and it has second-generation memory with only 1GB capacity. Although it comes with a dedicated graphics card, it is an extremely old and weak GT218 series, making its performance generally inferior to the integrated graphics of the processor, which is quite awkward.
Therefore, the configuration of this computer belongs to the classic series, very old-fashioned, barely usable for documents, watching videos, or playing games like Minesweeper and Solitaire. Its performance is equivalent to that of an entry-level TV box, but it runs on a Windows system. Acquiring such a mini computer for 200 yuan is barely usable at home, suitable for elderly users to play some card games or watch videos, which is actually quite decent.
