Enhancing Clinical Medical Efficiency Through Embedded Acupuncture Ward Rounds: A Case Study of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy in a Secondary Hospital in Shanghai

Shanghai Jiading District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital has created an “embedded acupuncture ward round” model, emphasizing the active participation of acupuncture physicians, and strengthening collaboration among medical personnel from different departments to eliminate discrepancies in medical service activities, achieving integrated medical services. Research has found that implementing the “embedded acupuncture ward round” model can enhance medical service capacity for this disease, improve clinical medical efficiency, shorten hospitalization time, reduce hospitalization costs, and enhance patient experience.
