Recently, at the Sinopec Blue Sky Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy electrolyte factory, a row of neatly arranged intelligent robots were seen precisely grabbing pipes with their robotic arms and completing the filling operation into tanks. Subsequently, supply chain logistics robots transported the materials along preset routes to the loading area, completing the entire process seamlessly. Meanwhile, in the central control room hundreds of meters away, engineers were monitoring the operational data of each stage in real-time through digital panels. This is the daily operation of the intelligent supply chain logistics robot project at Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy”). A factory engineer stated: “Through the deep integration of AI and robotics technology, the entire workshop operates autonomously under the efficient scheduling of intelligent algorithms, truly achieving a perfect fusion of technology and production.”
In March 2023, Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Blue Sky Group Co., Ltd., officially settled in Yantan and commenced the construction of a new project with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of lithium-ion battery electrolyte.
After two years of construction, in February of this year, the intelligent supply chain logistics robot project of Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy completed trial production and small batch debugging. This project integrates multiple automation products for the entire factory’s manufacturing execution system, warehouse management system, and automated guided vehicle handling and scheduling system, achieving data sharing of production plans and inventory information, process synchronization, and real-time monitoring, pushing production operations into a fully digital and intelligent phase. Once officially put into production, this factory will rely on the new architecture of intelligent factories and “AI + robotics” technology to become one of the most automated and competitive electrolyte intelligent factories in the country.
“We truly owe our gratitude to the government for their exceptional service. The rapid establishment and production of the Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy project benefited from the government’s supportive services,” said the head of Sinopec Blue Sky Sichuan Zhonglan New Energy. “As one of the first projects to settle in the chemical park, Yantan District provided strong support in terms of policies and services.”
It is reported that to ensure the efficient advancement of the project, the Zigong South Sichuan New Materials Chemical Park has launched “nanny-style,” “customized,” and “menu-style” investment services, initiating a service model of “one project, one leader, one specialist” to quickly resolve difficulties and issues encountered during project construction, maximizing time cost savings for enterprises. Recently, several major projects within the Zigong South Sichuan New Materials Chemical Park have welcomed good news regarding production and construction, with 13 enterprises in the park entering trial production or officially starting production. In March of this year, the China Fluorosilicone Organic Materials Industry Association officially awarded Zigong City the title of “China’s Green Fluorine Capital.” The park’s management stated that with the support of “China’s Green Fluorine Capital,” the Zigong South Sichuan New Materials Chemical Park will continue to strengthen the attraction of leading enterprises and optimize the business environment, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as new materials and new energy, striving to achieve a “full park in three years.” (Provided by the Yantan District Committee Publicity Department)
