Trade routes, or hyperspace routes, are safe hyperspace paths explored and mapped by old Republic hyperspace explorers using hyperspace beacons. Spaceships traveling along these fixed hyperspace routes will not collide with celestial bodies’ mass shadows in hyperspace.

A Loadlifter droid can be seen in the distance. This type of droid is actually quite common in canonical Star Wars works, having appeared in The Force Awakens and Chapter 1 of The Book of Boba Fett.

Obi-Wan saw a vision of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Hayden Christensen finally showed his full face in this show.

This is the headquarters of the Imperial Inquisitors, known as Fortress Inquisitorius, located on the moon Nur in the Mustafar system. This location first appeared in the canonical game Jedi: Fallen Order, where players can explore it in the final level. In the Star Wars Legends universe, the headquarters of the Imperial Inquisitors is the Citadel Inquisitorius on the deep core planet Prakith.

Originally, the script for Return of the Jedi set Owen Lars as Obi-Wan’s brother, but this was not included in the final cut. In 1999, the Legends novel Jedi Apprentice: The Hidden Past featured Obi-Wan dreaming of his parents and brother Owen, but the 2015 Legends short story Lone Wolf confirmed that the vision was actually of Owen, whom Obi-Wan mistakenly thought was his brother.

The Viper probe droid, the most commonly used by the Galactic Empire, arrives at Mapuzo via a hyperspace pod, standing 1.6 meters tall. Both the hyperspace pod and the probe droid first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.

Jabiim is a famous planet in the Star Wars Legends universe, first appearing in the 2003 Republic comic’s story arc The Battle of Jabiim. During the Clone Wars, the Republic suffered a devastating defeat in the Battle of Jabiim against Separatist forces. Obi-Wan was believed to have perished, and the loyal Jabiim people lost trust in the name ‘Skywalker’. The planet was brought into canon in the 2016 tabletop RPG The Force Awakens.

Tala, full name Tala Durith, is an original character in this show, played by Indira Varma. The Inquisitor she mentions hunting Force-sensitive children is actually Palpatine’s Project Harvester, which has appeared previously in the animated series Rebels, the comic Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, and the game Jedi: Fallen Order.

Darth Vader has long wanted to burn Obi-Wan. In the opening of the 2018 canonical comic Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith #13, Vader fantasized about burning Obi-Wan on Mustafar, one year after the Empire’s establishment, nine years before the events of this show.

Quinlan Vos was originally just an unnamed background character in The Phantom Menace. The character was introduced in the April 2000 comic Republic #17, where writer John Ostrander named him Quinlan Vos. He later became one of the main characters in this long-running comic series. In November 2010, he appeared again in the animated series The Clone Wars, Season 3, Episode 9, where he teamed up with Obi-Wan to hunt down the Hutt Zero. In July 2015, a canonical novel featuring him, Dark Disciple, was published.
In both Legends and canon, Quinlan’s story is similar: a Jedi Master who went undercover among the Separatists, walking the edge of the dark side, briefly serving Count Dooku, and returning to the light side to command clone forces against the Separatists in battles on Saleucami and Kashyyyk, surviving Order 66 and hiding underground with his lover Khaleen Hentz.
However, in canon, Quinlan had a deep romantic relationship with Dooku’s apprentice Asajj Ventress, who ultimately died protecting Quinlan. In Legends, there was no romantic connection between Quinlan and Ventress; he had a son named Korto Vos with Khaleen Hentz, but canon has yet to mention this son.

This name is Roganda Ismaren. Roganda Ismaren first appeared in the 1995 novel Jedi’s Apprentice. She is a Odraun, who was just a Jedi youngling at the rise of the Empire. A year later, she was captured by the Imperial Inquisitors. After witnessing her brother’s death, she resolved to no longer submit to fate. Thus, she actively integrated into Imperial society, using her beauty to infiltrate the Imperial court, even becoming a concubine of Emperor Palpatine and later promoted to the Hand of the Emperor, responsible for seducing and eliminating the Emperor’s enemies. However, she had an affair with another Imperial Hand, Sarcev Quest. They had a son named Irek Ismaren, whom she publicly claimed was the Emperor’s child. After the Emperor’s death, the Ismarens attempted to organize a group of Imperial nobles to overthrow the New Republic but failed and had to return to Coruscant. Later, the Imperial warlord Cronal caused Irek’s brain death during a lightsaber duel. Heartbroken, Roganda cybernetically enhanced her son’s brain. However, an earthquake prematurely awakened Irek. Confused, he used a lightsaber to kill his mother. Irek ultimately died during the Yuuzhan Vong War. This show has introduced the name “Roganda Ismaren” into canon.

This name is Djinn Altis. Djinn Altis first appeared in the 1995 novel Jedi’s Apprentice. He is an unconventional Jedi Master who founded the Altisian Jedi. The Altisian Jedi interpret the Jedi Code differently from the Jedi High Council on Coruscant. They believe that Force-sensitive individuals can be trained as Jedi at any age and encourage Jedi to marry. Master Altis used the starship Chu’unthor as a base to train his followers. Although he did not agree with mainstream Jedi, the Altisians still did their utmost to aid the Republic during the Clone Wars and interacted with Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. Altis even stated that if Anakin were expelled from the Jedi Order, he would be welcome to join the Altisians. Since they did not fight alongside the clones, most Altisians survived Order 66. The soul of Altis’s apprentice, Callista, later became one of Luke Skywalker’s girlfriends.
This show has introduced the name “Djinn Altis” into canon.
