On the evening of March 11, 2025, the School of Computer Science and Engineering held an entrepreneurship lecture at the Sunrise Technology Building A201. The theme of this lecture was “Software Development and Embedded AI: An Innovative Journey from Code to Intelligent Hardware,” featuring engineer Yu Shikun from Shenzhen Xinyingda Technology Co., Ltd. as the main speaker. The aim was to delve into the core position of embedded AI in the future of technological development, as well as the employment advantages and career development directions in the computer software industry under this trend. More than 320 participants, including faculty advisors and student representatives, attended the event.
During the lecture, Yu Shikun discussed that with the advancement of technology, the integration of software development and embedded AI has become an inevitable trend in industry development. Practitioners need to possess cross-disciplinary thinking, rapid prototyping skills, and efficient document reading abilities to adapt to the complex and changing market demands of the future. He also provided targeted learning suggestions, including accumulating experience through project practice and achieving a deep integration of technology and application at the advanced stage. In terms of career planning, Yu Shikun analyzed the specific job requirements in the computer software industry in detail and formulated short-term and long-term career development plans for the students. He believes that starting from scratch to propose the construction of a minimal project is an effective way to conduct low-cost trial-and-error entrepreneurship, helping newcomers to quickly accumulate experience and resources. Additionally, he shared an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of software, hardware, and the combination of both, advising everyone to leverage their professional strengths, find their positioning, break through barriers, and achieve high-quality employment, providing valuable references for students in their employment and entrepreneurship choices.
At the end of the lecture, both teachers and students expressed that they benefited greatly.
