The Allwinner A series chips are widely used in tablet computers. Among them, the A523 series is the latest high-performance platform processor developed by Allwinner Technology for mid-to-high-end tablets and interactive display applications, currently including the A523 and A527 products.
The A523 series adopts an efficient octa-core heterogeneous design, with a maximum CPU frequency of 2.0GHz, consisting of ARM main cores, RISC-V co-processor cores, and G57 MC1 GPU, achieving a computing power of 48G Flops, with a 50% improvement in overall computing power compared to the G52 GPU.
In terms of major advantages, the A523 series solutions feature IPC-level high-definition image ISP processing technology, supporting native four-camera setups, with more accurate color reproduction and high detail clarity; in portrait scenarios, AI-PQ can intelligently recognize faces and optimize automatically, and supports automatic FMD detection; in audio-visual technology, paired with Allwinner’s self-developed dual MIC echo cancellation algorithm, it provides an excellent user experience in video and real-time call scenarios on tablets, PCs, and other products; and it supports EQ debugging and runs large audio model algorithms.
Additionally, the A523 series is equipped with a highly competitive dual-band 80M WiFi6 solution, featuring low power consumption, enhanced security, large capacity, high speed, and strong compatibility.
At the same time, the A523 series is equipped with a rich set of interfaces, memory interface supporting DDR3, DDR3L, DDR4, LPDDR3, LPDDR4, LPDDR4X multiple types of DRAM materials; display interfaces not only support dual MIPIDSI, eDP, dual LVDS, HDMI but also support dual-screen display functions for terminal products; high-speed interfaces support USB3.1 and PCIe2.1, with USB transfer speeds up to 5G/s. Besides the rich interfaces described above, the A523 series products come with a complete package, supporting TYPE-C full functionality, single and dual battery configurations, and fast charging solutions, allowing customers to achieve more high-integration, customized designs and provide reliable complete solutions, significantly reducing development cycles, thresholds, and costs, and supporting rapid product mass production.
In terms of application areas, the A523 series can provide OS support for Android 13 and above, Linux 5.15, Ubuntu (Kylin), and is widely used in GMS tablets, laptops, cloud photo frames, open-source handheld devices, tutoring robots, smart cash registers and POS machines, advertising machines, cloud terminals and other rich application directions.
