What fascinates me most about the city of Shanghai is its streets and alleys. Every street has a different flavor, so let’s go out and experience the real life there.
If you ask me which street in Shanghai has the best food, I will definitely tell you: Jufu Chang. “Jufu Chang” refers to the area formed by Julu Road, Fumin Road, and Changle Road, which can be considered the most beautiful, interesting, and diverse area in Shanghai.
Previously, we had written about these three streets separately. After several months of undercover investigation, I am back with “Jufu Chang” to share with you all! Let’s see how I spent a whole day eating my way through Jufu Chang!
As usual, we have marked the best restaurants on this street, so you can save them and follow along!

This place’s turquoise walls provide a refreshing and pleasant feel, and the sunroom design adds a bit of comfort to the morning.
Signature Beef Burger
Made with premium beef, large holes of cheese, and fresh vegetables layered together, the secret barbecue sauce adds a hint of spiciness. The beef is cooked just right, tender, juicy, and flavorful. The bun is also toasted to a special crisp sweetness, paired with crispy fries. Encountering such a great burger, I’m willing to gain weight~ Plus, there’s a special set for lunch! After adding the store’s WeChat and uploading a photo, you can get your exclusive milk cap tea! The printed effect is really great! It’s hard to drink after seeing your high-definition photo printed on it~ This store’s newly developed photo cake is also very popular, but due to the printing effect, remember to book at least three days in advance!

This small shop has big flavors. They serve light Southeast Asian cuisine, and it’s hard to choose between the rich green curry and the spiced yellow curry! The rice is fragrant and delicious, and mixing curry with rice is simply irresistible. They also offer super value set meals starting from 30 yuan during lunch, making it very cost-effective!
Signature Green Curry Chicken
It’s said that you can judge a Thai restaurant’s quality by its green curry chicken. The chicken is flavorful, but not overcooked, remaining tender; the rich coconut milk balances the spiciness, making it mild. The curry also contains bamboo shoots, adding a crunchy texture, truly deserving its signature dish title! Pair it with a bowl of rice, and the taste is amazing!

The current temperature is perfect for sitting outdoors, and many foreigners are dining here too~
Roasted Chicken Leg Set
The roasted chicken set includes chicken legs or chicken breasts, and you can choose any two cold or hot side dishes, making it DIY! The marinated chicken, which has been soaked in bay leaf for 16 hours, is extraordinary and very flavorful! The skin is thin and crispy, and the juices are locked in, while the side dishes are all unique. A reminder that the portions of the roasted chicken here are really large, so ladies should not be too greedy!

Italian ice cream by a handsome Italian boss
This handmade ice cream shop is run by an Italian from Florence, and the first store on Yongjia Road has been open for many years. The hall is not large, but the simple decor has its own charm. There are many flavors of ice cream, and they often introduce new ones. They follow a “low-fat, low-sugar” route, so ladies don’t have to worry about gaining weight!
Rum Grape Box Mint Chocolate
These two flavors are the most popular! The Italian traditional gelato has a very delicate and smooth texture, and the rum flavor is mild, not overwhelming. The mint flavor is refreshing, and the chocolate beans embedded within are perfect for summer! They also have unique flavors like spicy chocolate, pistachio, and even durian!

– Amau Restaurant –
Authentic Shanghai cuisine
This is a well-known Shanghai restaurant, so the flavors are excellent and cater to most Shanghai locals. The environment resembles a typical Shanghai family restaurant for weekend gatherings, just like the small places our parents used to take us to when we were kids, with friendly service from the waitstaff. The signature braised pork is rich but not greasy, and the grass head circle and stir-fried pig liver are also favorites!
A Bucket of Fresh
In a bucket of fresh seafood, you can enjoy a lot of crabs, fish, and shrimp—seafood lovers cannot miss this! The crabs are super fresh, with plump and tender meat, and the squid and prawns are freshly killed that day, ensuring freshness!

Let’s enjoy a quiet high-end moment
The Mediterranean blue of the facade is very eye-catching, and although the entrance is small, it opens up to a unique interior. The environment is relatively dim, accompanied by jazz music and striking wall murals, creating a unique pub vibe at night, which is very charming.
They specialize in Mediterranean-style dishes, and the top-grade ribeye M5 steak is also superb in taste, while the banana pie dessert is well-received. Experiencing this place is definitely a good choice.
Fruit Milk Pudding Pie
They specialize in Spanish cuisine, but I was attracted to this dessert, especially this one—fruit milk pudding pie, which tastes like a combination of thick cheesecake and smooth pudding, with a perfectly sweet caramel base. Their dessert selections are vast, and in the afternoon, they even offer a two-person set to try all the classics!

The poached eggs use fresh eggs from the morning, truly deserving the title of Hermes of poached eggs!
Tender Chicken Avocado Salad
The signature salad has arrived, featuring super tender chicken + poached egg + half an avocado + assorted vegetables and beans tossed in oil and vinegar dressing, refreshing and delicious. When you cut the poached egg, the orange-red yolk flows out smoothly, indicating it’s a good egg! The chicken is also exceptional, perfectly crispy on the outside while being tender and juicy inside! “Naked” and still beautiful
Is naked cake becoming popular? Unlike traditional cakes with gorgeous appearances, naked cakes are full of warm flavors. This shop, run by a girl from Tongji, specializes in additive-free naked cakes, and you can see the entire cake-making process through the transparent glass of the open kitchen. After enjoying dessert, you can even take home a bouquet of flowers still covered in dew!
Signature Fresh Fruits
Between layers of solid cake, a creamy cheese and seasonal fresh fruits are added, garnished with flowers to showcase the true flavors of all the original ingredients. They insist on using high-quality raw materials, and since local strawberries are out of season, the owner even sourced fresh strawberries from Yunnan to ensure the taste. Delicate and mild, just like its appearance~

Due to their focus on health, Pushi Dim Sum has changed the greasy nature of old Shanghai pastries, offering unique shapes that are very appealing.
Five-color Savory Soy Milk
Compared to sweet soy milk, Shanghainese prefer a bowl of fragrant and smooth savory soy milk! The exquisitely plated savory soy milk is smooth and rich in bean flavor, paired with crispy fried dough, dried shrimp, and seaweed, drizzled with a bit of chili oil, it’s the taste of old Shanghai! A bowl is quite filling and warms the heart~

A very popular garden-themed café, the entrance has a palace-like feel, with various stunning murals and palace-style sofas, along with many decorative items sourced from India, giving an elegant vibe. It’s quite popular, and during afternoon tea hours, you often have to wait for a table; the desserts and teas are visually stunning. Taking photos or selfies in the little garden pretending to be a hipster is also great!
Hokkaido Snow Cheese Cake
Beautiful desserts are served from the cake shop, pure as the name suggests, with the plate adorned with delicate rose petals, allowing one to escape from the heat. Taking a spoonful is immensely satisfying, as each layer offers a completely different experience. Paired with the summer limited iced tea, the sweetness rushes to the heart, making it even more refreshing.

Signature Napoleon
I can responsibly say that this is definitely the best Napoleon I have ever had in Shanghai! The cream is personally whipped by the owner daily, so it’s definitely limited! Each step of the layering is done by hand, and the fresh fruits inside change with the seasons, with the cherries on top being huge!
