IT Home reports that the $5 Raspberry Pi Zero is a fantastic small computer device, but due to its great price and quality, it is in high demand. The manufacturer has temporarily shifted its attention to producing the new Raspberry Pi 3.
Today’s latest news is that the Raspberry Pi Zero is back in stock, with approximately 30,000 units available for purchase. It is believed that once launched, it will quickly sell out.
A month ago, the CEO of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Eben Upton, began discussing plans to resume production of the Raspberry Pi Zero, and there will also be a packaging upgrade with new features, although not including WiFi functionality.
It turns out that the newly added component to the Raspberry Pi Zero is a camera connector, which has been assembled on the right side of the development board. This is actually the same fine-pitch soft board connector used on the development tool for the compute module, which connects the Raspberry Pi Zero camera to a 6-inch adapter cable.
However, the final price of the new Raspberry Pi Zero has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to remain at $5 or potentially increase.
