7.09-Inch Eye-Caring LCD Smartphone Priced at 400 Yuan, Powered by Dimensity 900 with Stereo Dual Speakers for an Immersive Viewing Experience

Last time, I introduced the Honor X10 Max giant screen smartphone, and it seems everyone liked it, so today I will continue.

This model is the Honor X30 MAX, which still features an LCD screen. This time, the performance has been upgraded with the Dimensity 900 processor, which is roughly equivalent to the Snapdragon 7s Gen2. Daily apps run smoothly, and games like PUBG and Honor of Kings, which are not too demanding, can also be played.

However, the touch delay is a bit high, making it less suitable for gaming. But thanks to the large screen, the overall operation experience is surprisingly good.

The 7.09-inch LCD screen has decent quality, with a resolution of 2280×1080, which is a bit low. Upon close inspection, there is a grainy feel, but since we tend to use large screens from a distance, it doesn’t significantly affect normal usage.

The screen uses an RGBW arrangement, which means that in the normal RGB arrangement, an additional white pixel is added. The benefit is that the visibility in sunlight is comparable to OLED screens, and it does not have that overly bright washed-out feeling. The display remains very clear, with a maximum sustained brightness of 780 nits. The downside is that the actual resolution is slightly lower than normal.

This screen supports DCI-P3 cinema-grade wide color gamut and HDR10, and has received the low blue light certification from TÜV Rheinland. Users generally report good eye protection effects, making it a good choice as a backup phone for those with eye care needs.

Memory options include 8+128 and 8+256 configurations, allowing users to choose based on their needs.

In terms of imaging, the main camera is 64 million pixels, with a secondary 2 million pixel depth sensor, and an 8 million pixel front camera. Overall, there isn’t much to say; it’s just adequate for scanning codes.

The 5000mAh large battery provides a full day of usage without pressure, but it only supports 22.5W fast charging, taking about an hour and a half to fully charge.

This phone is primarily focused on audio-visual features, so it is quite generous with the speakers, featuring stereo dual speakers with dual 1217 super linear units, supported by dual Smart PA, providing excellent sound quality for watching movies and listening to music, making it very comfortable.

Other peripheral configurations include dual-mode 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC support, and that’s about it.

Currently, it is slightly more expensive than the Honor X10 MAX in the second-hand market, with an average price around 400 Yuan:

The second-hand price of this phone is also quite high. At the same price point, you can find Snapdragon 865 and some Kirin 990 phones, so buying this phone is mainly for the screen, making it suitable for watching videos with better eye protection.

The daily usage experience of the Honor X30 MAX is actually quite similar to that of the Honor X10 MAX. The performance of the 30 MAX is slightly better, but the 10 MAX is much cheaper.

However, many of the screens on the Honor X10 MAX have aged, while the X30 MAX screens are still quite new. Those who buy this phone are primarily focused on the screen, so the 30 MAX still has a significant advantage.

I previously wrote about a giant screen phone: 7.09-inch RGBW Eye-Caring Sunlight LCD Giant Screen Phone, Dimensity 800, HarmonyOS 3.0, suitable as a backup for those with sensitive eyes.
