Module Exception 3

Cause Analysis:

The household terminal set-top box is bound one-to-one with the smart card. If the smart card number inserted into the set-top box does not match the smart card number recorded in the user management system, it will trigger “Position Locked Module Exception 3”.

This fault is specifically divided into the following two situations:

One is the user or seller mistakenly inserted a smart card from another set-top box into this set-top box;

The other situation is the card has not been moved, but the employee ID holder has replaced the smart card in the household terminal user management system, causing a mismatch between the set-top box and the existing smart card, resulting in “Position Locked Module Exception 3”.

Solution:

Let the seller or the employee ID holder who opened this machine check whether the smart card bound to the set-top box matches the actual smart card number inserted into the set-top box, then match the corresponding smart card.

Module Exception 4

Cause Analysis:

Module upgrade failure, module itself abnormal, or module reset circuit abnormal causes “Position Locked Module Exception 4”.

Solution:

1. If the module upgrade fails, as long as the module is not broken, after the machine is powered on, the set-top box will force the module to upgrade. Do not cut off the power during the process, just wait for the upgrade to complete.

2. If the module is broken or the module itself is abnormal, it needs to be returned for repair.

3. The reset circuit abnormality can also cause module exceptions during the upgrade process.

4. You can check the relevant circuits.

5. If the base station information cannot be searched, please contact the installation and maintenance personnel or customer service center.

Note: Repairing position locked module exception 4 requires operation by professionals who understand circuits. Individuals should return for repair.
