Setting Up a Home Server: Installing ESXi 7, ALMA 9, and 1Panel

1. Installing ESXi 7 I used a Lenovo M710Q I3-6100T 8G 240G SSD mini PC

Boot ESXi 7 installation image using Ventoy USB flash drive

Modify the virtual memory size, ESXi 7 defaults to using a 120G hard disk for virtual memory, we reduce it a bit, I changed it to 2G. Press Shift + O during boot countdown cdromBoot runweasel appears

Enter autoPartitionOSDataSize=5120 represents 5G

Install the system

Installation complete

Shut down the server with F12, plug it into the home router, and connect via IP

Login successful

2. ALMA 9 Installation Download the minimal installation image

Upload to ESXi 7

Create a new system and install

Log in remotely via SSH to update the system and install open-vm-tools
