Download System Image
Download the appropriate version according to your system environment.

It is recommended to use Thunder to download. It is more stable. After the download is complete, open the tool win32 disk image tool
, other tools are also fine.

Wait a moment… Prompt for successful write.

Remove the card and insert it into the Raspberry Pi. Connect the network cable and power on!

Determine IP Address
Log in to the router to check the Raspberry Pi’s IP, or use nmap to scan.
nmap -sL 192.168.123.1/24
Log in to Kali
Here we use xshell to log in to the Raspberry Pi, the default username and password are kali
kali
, as shown below, successfully logged into Kali.

Other Matters
Configure VNC
Because I can’t afford a screen at home, I use VNC for remote connection. Enter tightvncserver
in the terminal to configure the VNC connection password.
Connect VNC
Hostname: ip:1 Password: the password you just entered. Note that you must fill in :1 after the IP. The startup command is vncserver :1

Set Root Password
With the arrival of 2022, the initial root account of Kali is disabled. Instead, a new policy has been updated. That is, the user is an ordinary user kali
. Execute the command below to change the root password.
sudo passwd root
This sets the root account and password.

Set Chinese Language
Enter dpkg-reconfigure locales
in the command line. After entering the graphical interface, (space
is to select, Tab
is to switch, *
is to select), select en_US.UTF-8
and zh_CN.UTF-8
, and then set en_US.UTF-8
as the default.

Install Chinese fonts
apt-get install xfonts-intl-chinese apt-get install ttf-wqy-microhei
Execute in the terminal:
echo LANG="zh_CN.UTF-8" > /etc/default/locale
