We live in an era where sharing is instant; when we capture tempting food or stunning landscapes, we want to post them on social media immediately. However, many older and professional cameras lack Wi-Fi functionality, making it difficult to transfer photos to smartphones or tablets anytime, anywhere, which can be frustrating! But there is a solution: if the camera doesn’t have Wi-Fi, the SD card can! Enter Toshiba’s FlashAir.

With Toshiba’s FlashAir SD card featuring Wi-Fi transmission, you can transfer photos to your smartphone and tablet without needing a data cable or removing the storage card from the camera. The third generation has already been released, boasting impressive transfer speeds and stability.
Using FlashAir is quite straightforward. After taking photos with a camera equipped with FlashAir, turn on your smartphone’s Wi-Fi, find the wireless network created by the FlashAir card in the camera, select it, and connect. Then, simply open the free app—FlashAir—that you have previously downloaded and installed, and you can view and download the photos you just took. Let’s go through the steps in detail:
Toshiba provides the same app for both iOS and Android platforms, named FlashAir. You can find it in the Apple App Store and Android app stores. Once downloaded and installed, you can operate it with the FlashAir storage card.
