Peripherals: Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse

This is easy to think of. You need to have a screen, keyboard, and mouse to use the computer. You need a monitor with HDMI connection and a USB or wireless keyboard and mouse. If you already have these, you can proceed.

The Intel NUC supports both 2.5-inch drives and M.2 SSDs simultaneously, so you can use both for more storage space.

The 2.5-inch slot can accommodate both SSD and HDD. I strongly recommend choosing an SSD as it is much faster than an HDD. A 480GB 2.5-inch SSD costs $60. I think this is a reasonable price.

The standard SATA port speed for 2.5-inch drives is 6 Gb/s. Depending on whether you choose NVMe SSD, the M.2 slot may be faster.
