Almost overnight, robots in Shanghai have started going to work with backpacks, robots in Sichuan are attending classes for children, robots in Shenzhen have begun patrolling, and there are even nanny robots at work. At gas stations, everything from opening the fuel cap to completing the refueling process and retracting the fuel nozzle is automated…I’ve been thinking for three days and still can’t understand why, in this current environment where unemployment and layoffs are rampant, and we ourselves can’t find jobs, we are still creating so many smart robots to take away jobs from the lower class?Intelligent robot waiters in restaurants, self-driving taxis running all over the streets, smart cleaning robots on the streets, unmanned supermarkets, unmanned workshops, unmanned convenience stores…This seems to be pushing people towards a dead end, doesn’t it? If we don’t need so many people, then why encourage having more children? Is it to create more people without jobs, to widen the gap between the rich and the poor? The cleaning ladies on the streets and the security guards at the gates, don’t they need these jobs more?Robots should not do what humans can do; they should do what humans cannot do.Military defense, disaster relief, bomb disposal, mine clearance, and border patrol…Conclusion: The times are progressing, and the wheels of history cannot be stopped. As a member of the lower class, my voice is small, but I hope to have a discussion with like-minded individuals.
